Job Description
Position: Youth Ministry Director
Commitment: Minimum 15 hours per week
Schedule: Wednesdays (6:30 PM - 8:00 PM), Sundays (9:00 AM - 11:30 AM), plus additional outreach and engagement hours
Reports To: Lead Pastor
Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Group Intern to support our growing student ministry. This role is ideal for someone
with a heart for mentoring and discipling high school students, engaging in outreach, and fostering relationships with students and
their families.
Key Responsibilities:
Core Duties:
• Assist in planning and leading Wednesday night youth group gatherings.
• Support Sunday morning youth programming, including teaching, facilitating discussions, and engaging students in worship.
• Build relationships with students, encouraging their spiritual growth and involvement in the church community.
• Attend weekly staff meeting.
Outreach & Engagement:
• Develop and maintain a presence in local high schools, connecting with students through campus visits, sporting events, and
school activities.
• Create opportunities for new students to engage with the youth group and the church.
• Collaborate with the youth ministry team (volunteers) to organize special events, retreats, and service projects.
Discipleship & Parental Communication:
• Meet regularly with students for mentorship, discipleship, and personal encouragement.
• Communicate with parents to provide updates on youth activities and offer spiritual support for their families.
• Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
• A committed follower of Christ with a passion for youth ministry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to connect with and mentor high school students in their faith journey.
• Comfortable leading discussions, praying with students, and sharing biblical teachings.
• Must be self-motivated, proactive, and willing to engage with students both in church and in the community.
• Previous experience in youth ministry (volunteer or paid) is a plus.
• Must pass a background check.
Compensation & Benefits:
• stipend ($1,200/month) or volunteer experience with mentorship and ministry training.
